Atlanta's Unique Trap Sound

Humble Beginnings
Little know how the most popular genre of rap in this age came to be. Rapper Jeezy (formerly know as Young Jeezy)was the first Trap Rapper to hit the scene. He emerged on to the scene in the early 2000's. Many are familiar with some of his biggest hits such as, Go Crazy, My Hood, and Soul survivor featuring Akon. He brought a new sound to the industry, with his raspy voice and aggressive tone, combined with, anthem like beats.

                                                        Into The Swing of Things
The  artist to emerge on the scene was rapper Gucci mane, who also helped to pave the way for the trap sound,  He also helped to expose rapper waka flocka who contributed to the trap sound.

Fine Tuning
Despite the stories the artist, they would be nothing with out the production, and musical genius of their producers, they are the mind behind the melody. Produce Zaytoven is the Genius behind Gucci Mane, Jeezy, and many other artist. Zaytoven was originally from the bay area. He is the originator of the trap music sound in Atlanta after moving from his home California.

                                                               The Story Continues

The producers are the artist behind the artist, many are familiar with producers like Metro Boomin and Sonny Digital who are new up and coming producers. Metro is becoming very familiar to the public, producing  artist like Future, Young Thug and currently Drake.
                                     Unique Sound

Despite Atlanta's Unique Trap sound,  Trap music has traveled across the U.S.
Northern artist such as chief keef have sort of adopted the sound, Chief is know as a Drill artist, but little know that the drill sound was actually inspired by Atlanta's Trap scene.
